Rules
1. Don’t Be a Dick
It’s the Wil Wheaton law, and it’s the most important rule in the game. Be good to each other. Be kind. Communicate. We want this to be a fun game for everyone, and this rule is the cornerstone of that.
2. Don’t godmod or infomod
Fairly obvious, but nonetheless. Don’t take control of other people’s characters without their permission, and don’t use info that you know but your character wouldn’t. Especially important in this game is not using a dimensional mission to grab information about another character’s past - the player of said character should be involved or at least consulted.
3. If you’re not sure, ask
If you’re not sure if someone’s interested in a thread, or if they’re okay with the way things are going, or if a plot is acceptable in the game, ask! Ask your fellow players and/or the mods. As long as everyone follows rule #1, this should be fairly simple.
4. Communicate
Make sure to communicate with one another. Follow the mod plurk, make sure to talk with your fellow players if you’re playing or planning with them, be active in the discord server if you’d like. Communication is the easiest way to solve problems and keep the game running smoothly. Keep in mind that ugly behavior on plurk or in discord can get you banned from the game (refer to rule #1).
5. Talk to the mods
If you’re having trouble with any aspect of the game, be it mechanics or plots or another player, and you feel as though you can’t work it out on your own, please come to the mods. This is what we’re here for, and we can’t fix a problem if we don’t know it exists.
6. CRAUs
If you’re playing a CRAU character, you have an additional responsibility on the communication side: if you want to play with a character with whom your character has past CR in their CRAU, you need to first approach the player of said character and hash out whether they’re okay with it. Some people are okay with it, and some people would rather avoid it altogether; regardless, you should talk with them and respect their wishes.
